Five Nights at Freddy's 3
Five Nights at Freddy's 3 is an indie-horror point-and-click survival game developed on March 2, 2015 by Scott Cawthon. It is both a prequel (name wise) and a sequel (story wise) to the original two games. The game takes place apparently in 2023, thirty years after Freddy Fazbear's Pizza closed its doors, in the new place; 'Fazbear's Fright: The Horror Attraction' in a local amusement park, based on the death and brutality of the original pizzeria. Your job is to monitor the attraction from midnight to six o'clock (six-nine minutes) in the place for five nights while trying to avoid the one animatronic lurking around, and a bunch of hallucinations showing withered golden versions of the animatronics. A lot of new features have been changed and added. One of these is that the attraction now has unlimited power, so you don't need to worry about battery power or 0%s. But it has been replaced with a few new crucial kinks. Here are all the kinks;
System Restart Menu - The system restart menu allows you to reboot the audio devices, camera systems and ventilation of the attraction. To open the menu, move to the left of the office and click the orange button at the bottom of the screen. You can also reboot all three at once by clicking the button that says 'reboot all', but this takes more time.
Audio Devices - The audio devices allow you to make a noise in a room which is BB saying 'Hi!' or 'Hello!'. It is used to lure the animatronic from room to room to keep him away from you. If the audio devices goes offline, use the system restart menu and click 'audio devices', then wait to reboot it. If you don't reboot the audio, it will cause the animatronic to get to your office quicker.
Camera Systems - The camera systems are how you look around the attraction through the ten cameras. There is also an extra five cameras in the vents. To view the camera systems, move to the right of the office and click the blue button to your right. If the camera systems go offline, the camera views will go black and you need to reboot it using the system restart menu. If you don't reboot the camera systems, you won't know where the animatronic is and you won't be able to close the vents either.
Ventilation - The ventilation is how you get fresh air into your office and how the animatronic can get into the right of your office. You can also close various parts of the vents to stop the animatronic by double-clicking a vent camera. The ventilation can also go offline randomly, or when a phantom animatronic attacks you. You need to reboot the ventilation, as if you don't, the air levels will get lower and you will have more hallucinations. It will also cause the animatronic to attack.
Animatronics:
Springtrap - Springtrap is the one animatronic in the attraction. He is a mixture of all the animatronics, with Freddy's body, Bonnie's head and Chica's yellow colour. He is extremely tattered due to being through decades of neglect and ruin. He also has a dead human body inside of him (the Purple Guy) because his suit could be worn, as explained through a teaching recording from Phone Guy, and the person inside of the suit must have broken the springlocks inside the suit, which result in instant death, hence the name Springtrap. He can kill you through both the door to your left and the vents. He was made as a hybrid of both an animatronic and a wearable costume. He was also originally the first version of Bonnie, named 'Golden Bonnie' who was one of the first animatronics in the attraction, with the other being Golden Freddy. He starts to move on Night 2.
Phantom Freddy - Phantom Freddy is a withered and burnt version of Freddy. As he is a hallucination, when he attacks you he doesn't kill you, but just makes your ventilation go offline. He only attacks when you see him stagger through the window in front of you until he vanishes, then attacks you.
Phantom Chica - Phantom Chica is a withered burnt version of Chica. She is also a hallucination, so she doesn't kill you, but just makes your ventilation go offline. She only appears in your office when you see her face in front of the Foxy head light.
Phantom Foxy - Phantom Foxy is a withered burnt version of Foxy. He is a hallucination, so he doesn't kill you, but just disables the ventilation. He appears randomly, standing on the box of toy masks then leaping down and attacking you.
Phantom Mangle - Phantom Mangle is a withered and burnt version of Mangle. He doesn't attack you, or even enters your office, but he plays a loud static in your office, which results in Springtrap getting to you quicker as you are making noise. He only plays static when you see him on the Foxy head light camera, and then his head appears at the bottom of the window. For some reason he is not included in the animatronics section of the extras pages.
Phantom BB - Phantom BB is a withered and burnt version of BB. As he is a hallucination, he doesn't kill you, but just disables the ventilation. He only attacks when you see him on a camera, then pull the monitor down, and he will be waiting in your office and will jump at you. He is the most common hallucination.
Phantom Puppet - Phantom Puppet is a withered and burnt version of the Puppet. He doesn't attack you, but just sometimes appears in your office and stares into your face and follows you wherever you look, blocking most of your vision and flickering the lights. He appears like he did in the last Freddy View in Fnaf 2.He also disables your system restart menu and cameras until he vanishes.
There is also another Phone Guy, nicknamed 'Phone Bro' who is much more radical and enthusiastic than the old Phone Guy, and plays recorded audio tapes of the old Phone Guy talking about how to wear an animatronic suit. There are also five death mini-games like in the second game, each showing backstory towards the pizzeria while you play as either Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, Foxy and the crying child. The Purple Man is also back in the games, but in the last game he is lured into Springtrap's costume, but dies in the suit because of the broken springlocks, which result in instant death. Unlike the two other games, Five Nights at Freddy's 3 has multiple endings. There is the bad ending, which result in the Purple Man dying in Springtrap's suit, and the good ending, which involves all the souls of the dead children to be released, but this ending is much more difficult to get. There is also no custom night, but there is a sixth night, entitled 'Nightmare Mode'. There is also an extras section which allows you to get a good look on the animatronics, jumpscares, minigames and cheats.
How to get the two endings:
In the game, there are two different endings; a good ending and a bad ending. The good ending is shown when you release all five souls of the five dead children and kill the Purple Guy, but the bad ending just makes you kill the Purple Guy, with the souls still at large. Here is how to get the good ending;
Animatronics - The animatronics section of the extras allows you to see close images of all the animatronics/phantoms in the game. It shows two images of Springtrap, and a image for the others (apart from Phantom Mangle). It is unlocked when you complete Night 5.
Minigames - The minigames section allows you to play all the minigames you played on your journey to find the Good Ending. It is unlocked when you have found the Good Ending.
Jumpscares - The jumpscares section allows you to view all the jumpscares that you have witnessed throughout the game. It is only unlocked when you beat Nightmare Mode.
Cheats - The cheats section allows you to change the game settings by adding easier and harder options for your gameplay. It is unlocked when the Good Ending is completed.
Cheats:
Fast Nights - The fast nights option allows you to make the nights go quicker, so instead of six-nine minutes, it goes to two-three minutes instead.
Radar - The radar option allows you to actually know where Springtrap is on the map, as a white circle will appear in the room that he's in. It is useful for when you lose Springtrap or for where he is going.
Aggressive - The aggressive option makes Springtrap and the phantoms much more active. It is like the 20/20/20/20 and 20/10 modes from the previous two games. It is useful if you want a challenge, especially if you use it on Nightmare Mode.
No Errors - The no errors option allows the audio, camera and ventilation to never go offline or get an error, so you will never have to check the system restart panel or reboot anything, so you can spend more time watching the cameras.
System Restart Menu - The system restart menu allows you to reboot the audio devices, camera systems and ventilation of the attraction. To open the menu, move to the left of the office and click the orange button at the bottom of the screen. The good ending is shown when you release all five souls of the five dead children and kill the Purple Guy, but the bad ending just makes you kill the Purple Guy, with the souls still at large. Here is how to get the good ending;
- Complete Night 1 - This step is easy. All you need to do is to just wait for the Phone Bro to finish his call and just be bored for 2 minutes until it gets to 6A.M.
- Find the clues in Minigame 1 - All you need to do for this step is to play as Freddy and go down to the west hall. In the left box next to the hall there will be the words 'BB dbl click' (which means 'BB double-click) and there will also be four pictures to the right of the hall showing top-left, bottom-left, top-right, bottom-right. Remember this. It will help you get the good ending.
- Complete BB's Air Adventure - To do this step you need to first start Night 2. Click on CAM8 and click the drawing of BB on the left wall. Click it and you will be taken to a minigame named 'BB's Air Adventure' where you play as BB. Collect the seven balloons in the room and an exit door will appear. Don't go into the exit, but instead jump out of the wall on the top left and fall down into a black, grey and white area. Keep moving past the area and a few black crying BBs and collect the big balloon at the end. The minigame will end and you will be restarted on Night 2.
- Complete Mangle's Quest - To do this step you have to have completed BB's minigame. Click the buttons on the arcade machine in CAM7 in the order shown in Minigame 1. You will be put into a minigame named 'Mangle's Quest' where you play as Mangle. Collect all of Mangle's parts scattered around the different rooms. Once all the pieces are collected an exit door will appear. Don't go through the exit, but instead jump out of the last room to the top-right and fall down a red abyss until you get to a floor. Go left and climb up the path of balloons (this is a hint to the next step) until you find a cake. The minigame will end when you collect the cake and you will restart at Night 2.
- Complete the true ending of BB's Air Adventure - To do this step you need to go back on BB's Air Adventure. Collect the seven balloons and jump out of the room again. But instead of falling to the big balloon, you will fall onto a path of balloons. Go along the path until you get to a grey crying child at the end. Go near it and you will give it the cake you collected in Mangle's Quest. The game will end and you will restart on Night 2.
- Find the clue in Minigame 2 - Complete Night 2 and you will be taken to this short minigame. Play as Bonnie and travel to the hall where you found the last clue. Instead, another clue will be there. There will be 4 cupcakes to the left. Remember this and complete the minigame.
- Complete Chica's Party - Start Night 3 and click the four cupcakes scattered in the attraction. They are in CAM2, CAM3, CAM4 and CAM6. You will be brought to a new minigame named 'Chica's Party' where you play as Chica (who looks a lot like Toy Chica). Collect a cupcake and make your way to the next room. Go down to the platform under the floor and instead of going downwards to some children, go to the left, where the same crying child from BB's game will appear. Give him a cake and the game will end, and you will restart Night 3.
- Find the clue in Minigame 3 - Complete Night 3 and you will be taken to the minigame again. Play as Chica and go down to the same hall where the other clues were. Then there will be the numbers 395248 in the left box. Remember this and complete the minigame.
- Complete Stage01 - Start Night 4 and use the 3x3 set of tiles in the office in between the bin and the mask box in your office and use the code 395248 to open another minigame, named 'Stage01', where you will play as Golden Freddy who starts on a stage with a non-broken Springtrap. Go off the stage and glitch through the side of the stage until you get out of the room. Then you will fall two rooms down. Keep going right until you get to the room with the exit door. Don't go through the door, but instead glitch up the left wall to get onto the ceiling. Then glitch through the floor of the room above you to get back to the stage. Then glitch up the right wall to get to the ceiling. Then glitch up through the floor of the room above you again. Next glitch up the left wall to get to the ceiling and go right. Jump off the ceiling to end up in a room with the crying child. Give the child cake and the minigame will end, and you will restart Night 4.
- Find the clue in Minigame 4 - Complete Night 4 and you will get back into the minigame. Play as Foxy and go back to the hall with the clues in it. To the right of the hall you will see Shadow Bonnie. Remember this and complete the minigame.
- Complete the Shadow Mixture - Start Night 5 and click on the Shadow Bonnie plushie on the desk (it's hidden to the right). You will be put in Stage01 again, but now playing as Shadow Bonnie (looks like Purple Bonnie). If you wait, you will be teleported through all the different minigames you've played, but one of the rooms will have the crying child outside of it. Wait until the room becomes BB's Air Adventure and jump out of the top-left wall onto the floor. Wait for the rooms to change to the crying child's room and give him cake. The game will end and you will restart Night 5.
- Complete the Happiest Day - Click on the drawing of the Puppet on CAM3 and you will be taken to another minigame, named 'Happiest Day'. You play as a child wearing a Puppet mask. Keep moving to the right until you get to the room with a crying child and four kids wearing Freddy, Bonnie, Chica and Foxy masks. Give the child cake. He will put on a Golden Freddy mask, and all the children will vanish, leaving their masks behind. The game will end and you will restart Night 5.
- Kill the Purple Guy - Complete Night 5 and you will be taken to the minigame again. You will play as the crying child. Make your way to the room which all the animatronics couldn't go into, and you will see the Purple Guy shocked to see you. Lure him back and forth until he runs into the Springtrap suit in the corner. The Purple Guy will laugh at you, but then the springlocks will go off and the Purple Guy will get killed. The game will then end with Freddy, Bonnie, Chica and Foxy masks lying on the floor with the words 'The end.' written above them. The game will end and you have finished!
