Luigi's Mansion
Luigi's Mansion is an action-adventure/horror game developed on September 14, 2001 by Nintendo. It has only been released on the Nintendo GameCube. The game involves the player controlling the character Luigi, who is trying to capture ghosts that are haunting a mansion that Luigi won in a contest he didn't even enter, while also trying to find his brother Mario, who entered the mansion before him to congratulate Luigi, but he never came back out. Luigi is also equipped with an evolved device named the Poltergust 3000, a better version of a vacuum cleaner that has a large power to suck and capture ghosts. He is also helped by Professor Elvin Gadd, a scientist who studies ghosts and keeps ghosts at ease, at least until an unknown villain released all the portrified ghosts from their paintings and put them into the mansion, which apparently 'appeared only a few days ago'. The mansion consists of five areas, the normal area, the heart area, the clover area, the spade area and the diamond area, each containing ghosts, portrait ghosts and boss ghosts. There is also a lot of treasure, which is useful as if you finish the game, the mansion will be rebuilt and its size will depend on how much gold you have (you need 100,000,000G to get the highest rating). You are also in control of the Game Boy Horror, which allows you to examine objects, ghosts, and allows you to also view the map. You can also collect elemental medals, which allow you to squirt out fire, water or ice from your Poltergust 3000. Luigi also has to try and capture all 50 Boos that are hiding around the entire mansion (there's one in nearly every room).
